1.     Toothpicks (about 125 per company)

2.     Cardboard (one piece, 15 cm x 35 cm, per company).  This is for the base of the bridge.  It should be uniform without any bends.  Thickness is not important, since itŐs the strength of the bridge, not the cardboard that will be tested.

3.     White glue

4.     Bottle caps, or other small disposable containers (at least one per company, plus some extras).  These are containers in which the glue will be sold daily.

5.     Thread.  This is for suspension cable, in case some students decide to build suspension bridges.  Given the specifications in the Building rules and code, such bridges should not be possible.  However, companies may negotiate with alterations to the specification.  Alterations should not hinder fairness of the evaluation.

6.     Metric rulers

7.     Wax paper (one sheet, about 30cm x 40 cm, per company).  This will be used for covering the final building plans to prevent smudges and dirt.

8.     Calculators for use during the bridge breaking ceremony.

9.     Small bucket.  This will serve as container for standardized weights during the bridge testing.

10. Metric weights (or objects that can be marked with specified weights)

11. Large manila envelopes (one per company).

12. Warehouse Price List poster.

13. OPEN/CLOSED sign for warehouse.
