HANDS
ON LEARNING |
 |
Learning
at Hidden Villa is hands-on. Students sink their fingers into the
sheep's soft wool while learning about the many valuable products
we get from farm animals. In the garden, students hunt for familiar
foods as they learn about helpful decomposers and the 6 plant parts.
Hiking through the forest, students turn into detectives as they
discover mini-habitats of animals and medicinal plants Native Americans
once used.
Being
encouraged to learn from your own experiences is exciting. Because
of this everyone in our class loves learning at Hidden Villa. However,
this doesn't mean that everything at Hidden Villa is easy. Hands-on
learning requires that you take risks and try new things. If you
do, we guarantee that you'll learn a lot and have tons of fun!

"I enjoyed learning about the organic garden. The guides at Hidden
Villa helped me learn by letting me touch the plants and soil and
actually do the steps to have our own ogranic garden." - Maria |

"Learning at Hidden Villa is different because at Hidden Villa
you can see the animal from close and how it moves and how it looks.
You can hold them and touch them and tell what it is. A textbook
is different because you only see the animals and it tells you where
it lives and all that, but you can't see where it REALLY lives or
where you can find it." - Uziel |

"I felt excited to go back to Hidden Villa because I get to be
a detective and scientist at the same time. I enjoyed being a detective
because we needed to look for clues." - Cindy |
