During the project,
students will connect to the world they live in through the collaboration
that must occur for a successful learning experience. Students will
work together to determine a group plan and actions. In addition, they
will meet to discuss ways to improve their project, peer edit, and support
each other. They will collaborate with the teacher throughout the development
of their project, with the teacher as a facilitator and not a lecturer.
Students will also collaborate with their community by contacting at
least one professional who may answer questions relating to the problem
the group is trying to solve. Furthermore, students will work to solve
a problem within their own community, which will help them connect to
situations they are facing, as well as helping them to become productive
citizens of their community. |
